Ever since I moved to New York 8 months ago many things have changed, such as I now walk about 10x as much as I did back home, I have tried and eaten (well most of the time) some really weird foods due to my Seamless addiction, and layering has become an everyday thing due to my thin southern blood. But what has changed the most without a doubt is my skincare/beauty regimen hence the Patrick Bateman reference. No I’m not a serial killer. What used to take me 1-2 minutes at the most has now grown into an all day process. I’m constantly thinking, “Should I do a face mask this morning or tonight?” or “Can I exfoliate today even though I used my retinol cream?”. I know this sounds like a huge first world problem but it really has become a daunting task. To me, everyone in New York is always looking for the next best thing like the new “it” restaurant or that purse in the window at Bergdorf Goodman that would take me 3 lifetimes to afford and skincare is no different. I live with two other girls, one is a model and the other is my longtime friend from upstate New York who’s mother used to work for Vogue (therefore they know more about health than everyone I’ve met in my life combined), so we’re constantly relaying “the newest thing”. Whether it’s for wrinkles, whiter teeth, shinier hair, keeping your eyelashes strong (excuse me?) and on and on and on…it’s exhausting. I cannot keep up BUT I am trying. So here is my current health and beauty routine.
AM Routine:
1. boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser
2. Rodan + Fields Pore Minimizing Toner
3. Face mask from The Face Shop (I like mung bean and blueberry)

7. Vitamins: Vitamin C, Cod Liver Oil, Coconut Oil, Resveratrol, Echinacea, and Viviscal extra stength

Now if you’ll excuse me, it’s time to continue this ritual so I finish before midnight today.
